Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
So Vader had a small part to do with the rise of the rebellion? Interesting! One thing that made me already not like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was the fact that LucasArts' PR department never got back to me on reviewing the game. Like the masses, I picked up the game on the day of release. I have since played it quite a bit and have my fair share of (major) disappointments. The game has some great elements, sure, but there are aspects that just piss me off gameplay-wise.
Guess reviews after the fact aren't going to stop the Force Unleashed from selling with Jedi strength.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Sells Like Hotcakes
Only five days after its release, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has already sold 1.5 million units worldwide. With the strong debut, Force Unleashed has quickly become the fastest-selling game ever from LucasArts. While the game's sales doesn't come close to the record set by Grand Theft Auto IV, which did more than 6 million units in its first week, it does put the title on track for being the number one seller for a game based on a movie license.
To keep up with demand, LucasArts shipped out 4.3 million units in anticipation of strong sales through the holidays.
