Guillermo del Toro
After learning just how busy Guillermo del Toro was at the beginning of the month, we have now learned that he's picked up another project. When will he start? After 2017? As his calendar is filled.
Guillermo del Toro Writes Vampire Trilogy
Next summer. That's when Guillermo del Toro's first vampire thriller is due to hit bookstores. How he plans to fit this in, I can only guess. Del Toro will work with Chuck Hogan on the trilogy of vampire thrillers, with the first installment titled The Strain.
Story will revolve around an invasion of New York City by a vampiric virus. Series will trace the roots of the vampiric race back to its Old Testament origins.
Just in case you've been living under a rock, Guillermo del Toro has committed the next five years of his life to direct both installments of The Hobbit. After that, the director is committed to helming a remake of Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Slaughterhouse-Five at Universal, as well as Drood.
