While sifting through a report over at Variety about the increased use of the IMAX format, the good people at FirstShowing discovered that Michael Bay will be taking advantage of the technology for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
Transformers 2 Going Big
"Michael Bay will film at least three action setpieces using IMAX cameras for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which is lensing."
Considering that the IMAX sequences for The Dark Knight looked nothing short of incredible, one can only get excited about the possibilities with giant, fighting robots. Well, that and seeing Megan Fox's smooth curves in a higher resolution.
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen opens to theaters on June 26th, 2009.
