Cross off another popular video game for adaptation. God of War has been called on and, as far as we can tell, Brett Ratner will direct.
Brett Ratner to Direct God of War
The good people at UGO Movie Blog have learned direct from the horse's mouth that Brett Ratner will direct the adaptation of God of War. Considering that his last big-budget hoorah, X-Men: The Last Stand, was the worst in the franchise, I remain skeptical of Ratner doing a big budget adaptation. One nice thing to know is that Ratner likely won't shy away from an R-rating.
We caught up with him recently and confirmed either your greatest dream or biggest fear: Brett Ratner is indeed making a movie based on the video game series, God of War. Honestly, I love the Kratos games, however, they aren’t exactly the deepest when it comes to story, so he might just be the right person to handle the film adaptation.
Like Prince of Persia before it, the first major question we have is: Who will star? Who could possibly play Kratos?
