I was interested how Stuck would look on Blu Ray because it didn’t look that good in theaters. It’s not really lit and the natural lighting barely makes the scenes show up right. Well, the Blu Ray makes it look like it did in theaters.
On Blu-Ray: Stuck
There aren’t any bright Blu Ray colors because they just aren’t in the film. It’s set in a garage with detours in an old folks hospital and slum apartments. The clarity is only the level of a standard DVD. There aren’t any crisp details. There probably wasn’t enough light to capture them on camera in the first place.
The blood looks real. It’s not glamorously heightened crimson. It’s just dirty maroon caking on the injured body.
So, for capturing the original film’s looks, the Stuck Blu Ray does a great job. It remains as gritty and dingy as it ever was. It’s not going to demonstrate the real capabilities of the format, but if you’re building your collection, this is the authentic version of the film.
