Time Hollow
Time Hollow was probably the wrong game for me to request. One, I hate cut scenes in video games, and the whole game is basically one long cut screen. Also, I’m not a fan of the touch screen and this whole game uses the unique feature of the DS. I’m a time travel fan so it sounded interesting, so understanding the format, it seems to do its job.
Time Hollow
There’s not much game to it. You basically just activate further details of the movie. For kids following along, it’s just interactive enough but it’s easy. It tells you when you don’t need to go somewhere and basically guides you through each step.
Perhaps the only potential challenge is when you actually use the stylus to open time holes. You have to open a hole on the correct part of the scene to reach back and get what you need. Your holes can only be so big and there’s a chance you’ll run out of energy, but really you’ll figure out where to “dig.”
As a game aimed at kids, they’ve done a really good job directing the player to make sure they get through the story without being stuck in places. I didn’t quite get my time travel fix from it, but I appreciate the effort.
