Dante's Inferno
While we are continually being told that the economy is hitting the sh*ts, Universal Pictures has been buying up projects like hotcakes. I don't know if they are short on writers who can write original content, but the studio has been acquiring novels and video games at an accelerated rate.
Getting in early, Universal Pictures has won a bidding battle for Electronic Arts' unreleased videogame that will likely be titled Dante's Inferno.
Universal Pictures Adapts EA's Dante's Inferno
Dante's Inferno is the second EA game that the studio has acquired in the past few weeks. Universal had to go up against Paramount, New Regency and MGM after Warner Bros dropped out Thursday. By the end of the auction, Universal Pictures walked away with a deal that included an option fee against a seven-figure purchase price.
As you might have guessed, the game and movie will take us on a journey through the depths of hell.
