The Day the Earth Stood Still
20th Century Fox is just giving it their all with The Day the Earth Stood Still. Not only do we have two extended previews for the film, but now two TV spots that also provide new footage. By the time December 12th rolls around we might have already seen half the movie. Well, at least Fox is confident.

One thing's for sure, Keanu Reeves is perfect for the role of Klaatu. Uncompassionate. No emotion. Whoa!
The only thing that troubles me is the change of angle that this remake has taken. Instead of taking the whole Abyss (Director's Cut) approach -- where we are told to live without conflict and aggression -- this remake seems more Al Gore or Day After Tomorrow. I'm hoping this isn't the case.
The Day the Earth Stood Still opens to theaters on December 12th.
