The Wizard of Oz
Since we'll soon be closing in on a century since The Wizard of Oz hit the bigscreen in color, I guess it was only a matter of time for somebody to re-imagine the classic novel from L. Frank Baum. This time the story will try out a different medium.
John Boorman to Direct CG Wizard of Oz Movie
John Boorman will direct The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a CG-animated film based on the classic novel. While most animated films are all about the singing and music, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz won't be a musical. Strange, considering that The Wizard of Oz figured that move to be the right choice.
The characters and settings you remember, however, will still be there. Unless, of course, the popular play Wicked has any influence on the story. Doubtful, but you never know.
