30 Rock Season 2
30 Rock’s Season Two DVD extras provide more 30 Rock laughs but perhaps not where you would most expect them. Most of the deleted scenes are redundant to the jokes that were already in the episodes, but Jack Donaghy’s job interview is worth seeing.

The table read was in fact just a reading of the script. I saw a live table read of Family Guy and the energy in the room was awesome. Maybe it just doesn’t translate when filmed.
The TV Academy Q&A is straight. Of course they riff on each other but it’s more about giving straight info.
Where the gang really shines is at the Upright Citizens Brigade performance of an episode. The whole intro to this is full of Tina Fey off the cuff zingers. If you liked her acceptance speeches at the Emmys, here’s more. They do skits in between script pages, and they feed off the audience. Best of all, they act out things without props. It takes 45 minutes to get through one episode, to give you an idea of how much extra they do.
