Hello Gort! While the first trailer for The Day the Earth Stood Still gave us a quick introduction to the robot, the film's latest preview is all about more action, more dialogue, more scenes and more, you guessed it, Gort!
International Trailer: The Day the Earth Stood Still
While the new trailer for The Day the Earth Stood Still shows tons of footage, yes, I just can't get over that extended look at Gort. Why is it cool? Maybe because he (can I call him a he?) has an absolutely surreal look to him. Like there is no way something of that design could have been built on Earth.
I can't rant and rave, but I don't want to get my hopes too high. At this point in time, however, The Day the Earth Stood Still is definitely proving itself as a "must see."
The Day the Earth Stood Still opens to theaters on December 12th.
