Oh boy,
WALL•E is all shiny clarity Blu Ray. Even the garbage piles look beautiful. Every chip of rust on WALL-E shines. His human memorabilia collection is full of unique textures.
On Blu-Ray: Wall-E
It's not quite real. They're not going for reality. It's still animated so slightly surreal, but you see the outstanding detail and color of that world. Every shiny piece of light was created by Pixar's artists.
Space is awesome too, like having a Blu Ray planetarium. The Axiom is shiny and smooth, including all the round bulbous people inside. It's a whole new color scheme, a pastel burst to contrast the desert rust of future earth.
The BURN•E short maintains the space aesthetic. You see more of the Axiom inside and out in hi-def. For a different sort of look, the Presto short has a lot of roundness and lavish, theatrical colors.
