Taking advantage of the Thanksgiving Holiday, Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer for their upcoming romantic comedy The Ugly Truth starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.

A romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result.
Hollywood is known for delivering projects in twos, but I never thought I'd see this happen in the romantic-comedy genre. Is it just me or does The Ugly Truth feel a whole bunch like He's Just Not That Into You. Either way, girlfriends everywhere have got to be thrilled.
The Ugly Truth opens to theaters on April 3rd, 2009.
