It looks like comicbook adaptations are out and untitled comedies are in. Well, at least for the first two days of this week. With a couple untitled comedies announcing casting plans at the end of the weekend and Monday, we are now told that John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei are in final negotiations to join an untitled comedy for Fox Searchlight.
John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei for Duplass Comedy
Directed by Mark and Jay Duplass -- this will be their studio directing debut -- the film centers on a recently divorced man (Reilly) who meets the woman of his dreams (Tomei). She has a teenage son (Hill) who has no interest in sharing his mother with a new man.
The Duplass brothers wrote the script and originally titled it Safety Man.
While it feels like it's been a while since we've seen Tomei, the actress recently appeared in The Wrestler opposite Mickey Rourke.
Jonah Hill is currently filming Apatow's Funny People opposite Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler.
Reilly's got a couple projects including 9 and Cirque du Freak.
