Slumdog Millionaire
Though the Golden Globes was limited to nothing more than a press junket last year thanks to the writers strike, the awards show bounced back in 2009. Showing that no bracket was predictable -- save for maybe some of the television nominees -- this year's Golden Globes was able to keep audiences entertained thanks most in part to a broad selection of excellent projects and performances.
Even with this year's increased competition, it was Slumdog Millionaire that has picked up the most momentum going into Oscar season.
