The Green Hornet
It looks like Seth Rogen might have lost all that weight for nothing. Well, not for nothing, as it's always nice to be healthy, but not for what was originally planned from the leaned physique. Before I get too caught up on 'leanness' and 'physique', however, let's get back to the rumor that had been circulating before and during Sundance. I don't know how to put it softly so I'm just going to say it.
Okay okay, the cancellation of The Green Hornet has not been confirmed as yet. But don't get your hopes up, as HitFix reports that the film will not make Sony's June 25th, 2010 theatrical release, and that's if it gets made at all.
Ever since Stephen Chow started to waffle about his participation in the film, I've been hearing rumors that there were major hesitations at Sony. Then at Sundance, I heard several people say that the film was off completely. I spoke this afternoon with a source close to the film, and while they didn't call it completely dead, they did say it is "highly unlikely" that the film will shoot in 2009 at all.
With this now out, expect some official announcement or confirmation from Sony this week.
The Green Hornet was expected to open on June 25th, 2010.
