The Thing
Say it ain't so! The Thing scared the living shite out of me when I was a kid. It is the epitome of horror classic, and Universal Pictures wants to remake it. Seriously - Is finding writers who produce original content too pricey or just that hard to find?
The Thing Remake Coming
How do you beat a human chest that somehow becomes a mouth and bites off your buddy's hands down to the wrist? You can't beat that!
I guess if a film reaches twenty years and hasn't been remade at least once, it is only a matter of time.
Universal Pictures has picked up Ron Moore to write the script with commercial director Matthijs Van Heijiningen getting behind the camera for the re-imagining. The Thing will be set in a Norwegian camp and chronicle how a shape-shifting alien was first discovered and overcame the inhabitants of that camp.
Five bucks the remake turns out half as scary and twice as cheesy.
