Production on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I has hit a bumpy start with an injury on set. While rehearsing a stunt involving a blast, Dan Radcliffe's stuntman went flying.
Injury on Set of Deathly Hallows
While the blast was supposed to send Radcliffe's stunt man flying, the 25-year-old ended up plummeting to the ground and smacking it hard. According to the Mirror, this is no mere booboo. After colliding with the ground, the conscious stuntman admitted that he couldn't feel his legs.
Here is the report from an anonymous source:
“The stunt double was badly hurt. He was rehearsing a flying scene which involved an explosion and it seems to have gone badly wrong. The guy was rigged up to a harness for the scene and was flying through the air. It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard. He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.”
The accident happened at the world famous Leavesden studios near Watford. Warner Bros. does confirm that a member of the Deathly Hallows production was injured.
Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I opens to theaters November 19, 2010.
