Puss in Boots
With DreamWorks Animation taking in a whopping $2 billion from the Shrek franchise, I wouldn't be surprised if they create a spinoff for every single character. One of our favorites -- besides Shrek, of course -- is Puss in Boots. Using his charm, like shown above, the character has been given his own spinoff.
Tom Wheeler to Write Puss in Boots
DreamWorks Animation has hired Tom Wheeler to write the Shrek spinoff Puss in Boots. The feature film will cover the feline swordsman, who will once again be voiced by Antonio Banderas.
Just in case you don't know your Shrek history, Puss in Boots made his debut in Shrek 2, when he gets hired by the king to assassinate Shrek. The pair later hit it off and Puss has remained by Shrek's side ever since.
When it comes to Shrek himself, the character has no reason to be jealous. Though Shrek 3 was easily the least liked in the franchise, Shrek Goes Fourth will hit theaters on May 21, 2010.
