Land of the Lost
Slowly getting around to finishing up the terrific collection of Super Bowl spots that aired this Sunday, here is the first footage from Land of the Lost.
Land of the Lost Super Bowl Spot
Based on the 1974-77 television series of the same name. The series revolved around forest ranger Rick Marshall and his children, Will and Holly, who are caught in a time vortex while rafting on the Colorado River and transported to a mysterious world populated by dinosaurs.
With the film version, Rick Marshall is a lot more funny thanks to Will Ferrell. The opening segment with Matt Lauer -- that results in a hilarious piece of dialogue later on -- is classic. The film seems to be showcasing some high budget effects. Now, I don't know if they're, let's say, Jurassic Park quality, but good enough to fit the adventure-comedy genre.
