Warner Bros. loves Christopher Nolan. He's resurrected their Batman franchise, has a knack for writing/directing terrific films, and is now ready to try sci fi.
Christopher Nolan to Direct Inception
Showing just how much they love Nolan, Warner Bros. has paid a whopping seven figures for his script Inception, which he'll also go on to direct. Though no plot information is known, the project is described as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.
Inception will give Warner Bros. a tentpole for 2010 while keeping the studio close to Nolan. Sooner or later they hope to convince him to helm another Batman installment. Either way, it's just good to have this director in your corner.
Nolan "continually raises the bar with each movie he makes," said Jeff Robinov, president of the Warner Bros. Pictures Group.
