After a couple bumps in the road, Warner Bros has found their antagonist for their upcoming adaptation of Jonah Hex. John Malkovich has signed on to play Josh Brolin's nemesis.
John Malkovich Goes Southern for Jonah Hex
In Jonah Hex, Malkovich will play Turnbull, a wealthy Southern plantation owner whose son is killed by Union soldiers during the Civil War. He blames Hex, a former confederate soldier-turned-hardened bounty hunter and gunslinger.
Jimmy Hayward is set to direct off a script by scribes Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.
Malkovich was last seen in Burn After Reading and Changeling. I do believe the last time we saw him as the title villain was in Eragon, a role that was shockingly bad.
