When you have a love triangle you need three points. Reese Witherspoon was one of those points, leaving room for two male leads. To fill those roles, Columbia Pictures is in talks with Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd.
Wilson and Rudd to Complete the Triangle
Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson are looking to join James L. Brooks' romantic comedy for Columbia Pictures.
Written by Brooks, the film involves a love triangle. Rudd would play a white-collar executive vying for Witherspoon's affections, while Wilson would portray a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest.
Since Brooks is known for keeping his plots under wraps, the film's current working title is How Do You Know?
No joke.
While Wilson will likely board, there could be a scheduling conflict for Rudd. Columbia Pictures is eyeing an early start date, which would conflict with Dinner for Schmucks, if Rudd did decide to star for DreamWorks. What can he say? He's been a popular guy ever since Role Models scored at the box office.
