Suicide Squad
I have to admit that I'm kind of surprised, as I didn't know there was still a comicbook out there that hasn't already been acquired. Especially one that has been around for quite some time.
Suicide Squad Movie Coming
Warner Bros. has acquired the screen rights to the DC Comics property Suicide Squad, which Dan Lin will produce.
What makes Suicide Squad cool (and unique) is that, instead of focusing on heroes, the comics focus on a group of incarcerated supervillains. The group of misfits debuted in a 1959 DC comic and later got their own series in 1987.
Suicide Squad will feature a mix of well-known and unknown villains recruited by the government to accomplish a task deemed too dangerous for superheroes. The historically independent operators must bury their own interpersonal conflicts and agendas to form a cohesive unit to take on a singular task.
