Sometimes a film's trailer comes down to not the visuals -- well, they still are important -- but the choice of music/score. One of the reason's I loved the first trailer for Adventureland is that it used the track "Blister in the Sun" from Violent Femmes. I love that track! I though the film looked like an A-comedy but, without the track, it would have been closer to a B.
Yes, music is that important to me; even if it doesn't end up in the film. So now we have the film's red band trailer and, not wanting to fix something that isn't broke, the Violent Femmes play a their music to a wonderful compilation of obscenities.

While I would have liked maybe a bit more boobage from the red band trailer for Adventureland, I love the fact that Miramax kicks things off by mentioning that the film has absolutely no obscenities. Instead of showing clips, the trailer acts more like an F-bomb real. Very nice!
