While Alexander Payne wraps up his script for Downsizing, Fox Searchlight has already thrown out their casting line and have landed quite the ensemble.
Paul Giamatti, Sacha Baron Cohen and Reese Witherspoon Downsizing
The studio has picked up Paul Giamatti, Sacha Baron Cohen and Reese Witherspoon to star in Downsizing. Giamatti will star as a man low on money who decides he can have a much nicer life if he undergoes a process to shrink himself.
Witherspoon would play a woman Giamatti meets on his journey as a miniature person while Baron Cohen makes his entrance as a pint-sized foreigner.
While the cast is onboard with the production, no deals will be signed until a finished script is available.
Downsizing marks Alexander Payne's first helming gig since 2004's Sideways.
