Can you smell the Booty Sweat? Tropic Thunder's Brandon T. Jackson has been picked up by Fox 2000 to co-star alongside Logan Lerman in the adaptation, Percy Jackson.

Based on the first of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, Percy Jackson is a fantasy-adventure about a titular schoolboy (Lerman) whose world is turned upside-down when he discovers that his father is actually the Greek god Poseidon. Story kicks off with Percy becoming the prime suspect when Zeus' master lightning bolt is stolen. The boy has just 10 days to find and return the stolen property to bring peace to the warring gods.
Jackson will play Percy's best friend Grover, a satyr.
With the film's leads now in place, Fox 2000 is hoping to get some big names to play smaller and cameo roles as various gods.
Chris Columbus will helm the film off a script both he and Craig Titley wrote.
