As promised, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for their gangster action-thriller, Public Enemies. Starring Christian Bale and Johnny Depp, the film is sure to impress.

It's good to see a historical gangster flick that actually has tons of shooting. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the recent collection of gangster movies has been short on the rounds fired. Public Enemies brings in the Tommy Gun, and uses it often.
The film tells the true story of John Dillinger (Depp), who became a famous outlaw during the time of the Depression. A bank robber who was popular with the masses, the FBI was brought in to bring him down. Fortunately for the agency, they were also looking for a boost in attention. Dillinger became the first Public Enemy Number One.
