Green Lantern
With so many comicbook adaptations failing to successfully enter production the last couple years we've found a new reason to be excited when every new attempt/adaptation does move forward. Don't get me wrong, I hate the fact that Hollywood does seem fresh out of original scripts, but who doesn't love a good comicbook movie? Hypocrite? I know.
Green Lantern Filming to Begin
Production Weekly has posted an update on their Twitter account claiming that Warner Bros. has it in mind to begin filming Green Lantern this upcoming September in Australia.
Martin Campbell will direct the adaptation with hopes to have the film in theaters on December 17th, 2010, which means he has just over a year to get everything wrapped up.
Green Lantern was created back in 1940. The character began as Hal Jordan, a second-generation pilot who was later charged with the responsibility of defending a sector of the universe. Fortunately he is also the owner of a power ring. While the shiny object gives him strength, it also requires the utmost willpower and strength to wield it.
