After dealing with The Strangers, which did well at the box office mind you, Liv Tyler is now taking on The Romantics.

Directed by Galt Niederhoffer off a script she wrote, the romantic comedy takes place on the eve of a seaside wedding celebration. Seven close friends convene to watch two of their pals get married. Laura (Tyler) is the maid of honor, but she and the bride have had a long rivalry over the groom.
If you think you've heard this plot before, then you may have read Niederhoffer's novel, from which the film is an adaptation.
Tyler's been on quite a bit of a comeback trail by tackling just about every genre including comicbook adaptations; *cough* The Incredible Hulk. She'll next be seen in Smother.
