Paramount has delivered our first surprise of the week with a new TV spot for Star Trek. While I doubt Paramount will ever be able to outdo the film's last trailer, this does look pretty cool and does provide some new, action-packed footage.

Is that Sulu (John Cho) doing spin flips while fighting Romulans? Nice moves! Learn more about our favorite characters by checking out the latest TV spot for Star Trek below (via TrailerAddict). One thing's for certain -- Kirk and Uhura do take part in some babymaking.

Star Trek will open to theaters on May 8th.
