Thought you'd have to wait until August before having a chance to see Inglourious Basterds? Like the film's plot, the film itself is planning on invading France for its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival.

Inglourious Basterds at Cannes
Inglourious Basterds was invited to compete at Cannes and, though one would think the film was not entirely finished just yet, Tarantino has confirmed to the Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures that the film will be ready for its premiere come May 13th.
Tarantino's decision to rush the film's release shouldn't be too much of a surprise, considering that Tarantino and Cannes have a love-love relationship. The director won Cannes' Palme d'Or back in 1994 with Pulp Fiction. He's been one of Hollywood's most wanted directors ever since.
So, if you want to see it early, be sure to make Cannes this year. If you can't, then you're waiting until August 21st like the rest of us.
Inglourious Basterds will be released August 21st.
