Bedtime Stories
Bedtime Stories makes a delightful Blu Ray because it’s got a mix of pure fantasy visuals, some actual reality, but best of all the magical reality when the stories come to life. That’s three different looks that all hold up well.
On Blu-Ray: Bedtime Stories
Real scenes are perfectly clear so you see all the detail in hotel Adam Sandler takes are of. Different colors populate the furniture, the staff uniforms and all the guests’ different wardrobes. Glass reflects perfectly and shines. Home life is colorful too with children’s party decoration and suburban foliage.
The fantasy sequences are ridiculously lavish. The medieval one has castles full of brick detail, rose pedals popping through the air and shiny mermaids. The western has that bright red horse that takes attention from anything else in the scene. The gladiator scene is just packed with epic widescreen details. The space story is just a CGI marvel where every silly effect shows in realistic detail.
When the worlds merge, you get the clarity of real world penetrated by fantastical bright colors like the gumball rain. The Ferrari payoff happens on a fluorescently shiny glistening street. The gladiator story pays off with a day at the beach under golden sun. The finale blends with shiny colored motorcycle helmets, orange demolition suits and flashbacks to all the fantasy adventures.
