Well, I’m sure everyone’s waiting to hear how the movie about debating allegations of molestation in the Catholic church looks on Blu Ray. But, it was one of the hot Oscar contenders this year so it is a noteworthy Blu Ray release.
On Blu-Ray: Doubt
It is quite a spectacle of 1960’s New York. The autumn streets and grounds of the Parish look crisply clear. It’s not super colorful except for the church itself, where there’s golden lighting and lavish wardrobe and decorations. But it’s a stark movie and the Blu Ray captures that in clear detail, with some exceptions.
There are some really dark dawn shots where you can still make out all the detail because Blu Ray is so awesome. Sometimes stained glass colors a light source to pop out of the scene. Even in a plain old office, the paint on the walls can give the scene a slightly more colored look.
If the visuals of Doubt did anything for you, they look amazing on Blu Ray.
