Marley & Me
Marley & Me was surprisingly one of my favorite movies of last year. It was memorable for the values and heart, not so much the visual spectacle, but as a brand new movie it’s sure to look good on Blu Ray.
On Blu-Ray: Marley & Me
Sure enough, the opening wheat fields show the potential for visual spectacle. Cut immediately to a snowstorm, so you know all the life events the film will chronicle will occur in noticeably gorgeous real life settings.
A large chunk of the story takes place in Miami with beaches and palm trees. Then they move to a suburban estate with a lush yard and more snowfall. The film covers all the seasons, all the weather, all the different lighting schemes. It just makes everything look great.
