When we were told that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince would be coming to theaters on July 17th, I had reason to be excited. Seeing that the choice of date is the exact same as my birthday, I already had an idea on what I might be doing that day. You know, besides getting absolutely sh*tfaced later that night. But then it hit me, there was no chance in hell that Warner Bros. would not do what every other studio does, and push the film forward at least to the early, midnight showing.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Pushed to July 15th
Make that two days. Taking advantage of the mid-summer break, Warner Bros has decided to push the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince forward to July 15th; a Wednesday.
Not exactly a surprise move, as I'm expecting at least half of this summer's tentpoles to become Wednesday releases.
