Bruno
We all know that sexual content makes the MPAA cringe and the upcoming mockumentary, Bruno, just happens to have plenty of it. So much in fact that the MPAA has given the film a NC-17 rating.
Bruno Gets Rated
We also know that NC-17 is not going to fly with Universal Pictures, who are looking to find the same box office success as Borat, so expect the studio to begin cutting as much of the film is required for that nicer R rating.
For those of you disappointed to hear that the film will be cut down, dry your eyes, as all of these scenes should come back for the DVD release.
Sacha Baron Cohen is no stranger to the NC-17 rating. Borat was also stamped NC-17 when first submitted to the MPAA. So, if we are to take anything from this, it is that Bruno is on the right track.
