Primal Fear
Wow, so Primal Fear is considered one of Paramount’s hot catalog titles. It is the first major appearance of Edward Norton and a decent twisty thriller, but still don’t they have Grease and Saturday Night Fever? Oh well, if they want to put out a special edition of Primal Fear, I’ll look at the Blu Ray.
On Blu-Ray: Primal Fear
To the extent that there are visuals in the movie, the Blu Ray looks good. It’s not quite harsh reality with gritty faces, but for Hollywood lawyers and suspects it’s sharp and clear. Maybe I’m just being harsh because it’s so surreal to see the supporting cast 12 years younger in such high quality.
The well groomed men cut impressive figures in the courtroom. Ornate architecture shines and seedy bars and cells have nice lighting. There’s a little fuzz of grain in the background but that’s because most of the settings are beige. There’s nothing to hide it.
