Just when we though Scrubs was hanging up its er, scrubs, ABC has decided that the network might not yet be ready to let the series go.
Scrubs Looking to Ninth Season
If all goes to plan, ABC will have talked the entire original cast into returning either part or full-time. Though series creator Bill Lawrence is currently busy working on another pilot, we are told that he his heavily involved with the Scrubs talks as well.
If original cast such as Zach Braff are really done with the series, most of them do have other pilots lined up, ABC is hoping that the new cast of interns, brought on during the past couple seasons, might fill the void and allow for Braff and others to pop in (think cameo) whenever they'd like.
As of right now it's just talk, but definitely a popular idea with the show's small but rabid fanbase.
