After scoring a major box office hit this weekend with Wolverine, 20th Century Fox must be feeling confident. So confident in fact that the studio is willing to give the failed comedy, Used Guys, a second chance.
Ben Stiller to Star in Used Guys
If the title sounds familiar, then you might remember that it was Fox who had pulled the plug on the project three years back when faced with expensive, futuristic sets that couldn't be built in time. At that time the futuristic comedy had Jay Roach directing and Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller co-starring together.
It was later discovered that the project was actually shutdown after its budget went north of $110 million.
With Carrey out, Fox is converting the project into a romantic comedy, with hopes that Reese Witherspoon will join the cast to co-star with Ben Stiller, who is officially back. He is also expected to produce under his Red Hour Films banner.
