A bigscreen adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire's Broadway play, Rabbit Hole centers on a couple who struggles to cope with the unexpected death of their 4-year old son.
The project will be directed by John Cameron Mitchell.
Wiest won an Emmy for the HBO series In Treatment. Blanchard was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows.
