Dwayne Johnson is considering the return to edgy action with Faster, an action drama from CBS Films.

I can't blame the guy for returning to what he does best, as his family comedy projects never really got the best reviews; though they did okay at the box office.
Directed by Phil Joanou off a script by scribes Joe and Tony Gayton, Faster will have Johnson play an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist.
Phil should be familiar with The Rock, considering that he directed him in Gridiron Gang.
Faster is expected to begin production this August.
