Just when we thought we'd have to wait until the release of Up for the first trailer for The Princess and the Frog, the Disney Channel decided to run it early.

Considering that The Princess and the Frog is supposed to be the best of hand-drawn animation, I do not really see any improvements. If somebody told me that this film came out in the early '90s, I'd believe them. Seriously, what's been improved upon? I don't want to say hand-drawn animation is dead, but the story better be pretty darn impressive to back it up. Then again, maybe it's just me, so check out the trailer below (via TrailerAddict) and make your own opinions.

The Princess and the Frog opens to theaters on December 25th.
