Precious
The first trailer for Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire has confirmed what I've always known - I'm not into the "misery is worth celebrating" genre. I don't know how better to describe this drama, but let's just say that it won't have audiences rolling in the aisles.
Precious Trailer
You're sixteen, you're still in Junior High, and you pregnant with your second child. Yes, that's a piece of dialogue direct from the film that describes the title character's current position. Normally, out of lack of compassion, I would call this individual out as a waste to humanity and a nuisance to society, but there are enough plot elements to make moviegoers feel some compassion for her. I for one would suggest throwing a salad into the diet and work on getting out of that abusive home to start. But that's just me.
