The Road
Coming in as a bit of a surprise, to put it lightly, The Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for The Road starring Viggo Mortensen.
The Road Trailer
Academy Award nominee Viggo Mortensen, Academy Award winners Robert Duvall and Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and 12-year-old Kodi Smit McPhee star in the big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Road – the story of a man (Mortensen) and his young son (Smit-McPhee) traveling through a desperate, post-apocalyptic world.
Mortensen definitely has an attraction to gritty films. Not that I can blame him, as he seems to excel here. I also love that he will be pitted up against Garret Dillahunt, another actor that is so comfortable getting gritty that it's somewhat creepy.
