The Wrestler was good for Mickey Rourke, no doubt, but I like him better as a tough-guy gangster. Fortunately for me, the actor has agreed to star in the remake of the 1980s British gangster flick Mona Lisa.
Mickey Rourke for Mona Lisa
Directed by Larry Clark off a script he wrote, Mona Lisa will have Rourke play an ex-con who takes a job as a chauffeur for a high-class escort.
So who's this escort? It just so happens that Eva Green is in negotiations to star opposite.
Mona Lisa represents yet another '80s classic that Hollywood has targeted for adaptation. Before long expect to see all your favorites from the decade coming back not so classy.
Filmong on Mona Lisa is set to begin this July in New York.
