Hollywood likes to do things in pairs. While we are waiting for the release of Surrogates 20th Century Fox is working on another thriller, The Surrogate. Fortunately, the two stories are not even remotely alike.
Halle Berry for The Surrogate
Fox is looking to Halle Berry to star in The Surrogate, which revolves around a couple who hire a surrogate to carry their child and find out mid-term that the surrogate is insane. The film would mark her return to the bigscreen after having a baby just last year. If that comes as a surprise, remember that Berry hasn't been seen in a film since 2007's Perfect Stranger.
Paul Verhoeven will likely direct off a script by Rod and Bruce Taylor, which they based off the novel by Kathryn Mackel.
