Amanda Bynes
Screen Gems has a thing for Amanda Bynes; or is it the other way around? The actress and the studio have signed a two-picture deal that will kick off with the Will Gluck-directed comedy Easy A.
Amanda Bynes Polishes Two Screen Gems
Written by scribe Bert V. Royal, Easy A stars Emma Stone as a high school student who is victimized by a false rumor that she lost her virginity, until she exploits the rumor mill for her own benefit and becomes wildly popular. Bynes has signed on to play a puritanical high school queen bee.
Once that wraps, Bynes will work with Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper on creating a project that will serve as a starring vehicle. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume it is a romantic comedy.
Culpepper has the same idea with, "She's one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops."
