Jack Nicholson
Last time Jack Nicholson and James L. Brooks teamed up they popped out As Good as It Gets and Terms of Endearment. Not too shabby! With a 100% success rate, Nicholson is contemplating teaming up with Brooks again for his upcoming untitled romantic comedy.
Jack Nicholson for Brooks Comedy
If Nicholson signs on, he will join Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson in what looks to be an ensemble project. The film follows a love triangle, with Rudd playing a white-collar executive vying for Witherspoon's affections, and Wilson portraying a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest.
The studio was originally looking to Bill Murray to play Rudd's blueblood father, but the actor has recently lost interest. Brooks reached out to Nicholson personally. Considering that I haven't seen Murray that recently save for a tiny cameo role in Get Smart, I have to admit that I'm surprised he passed on this one.
