Earlier this week it was confirmed that Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes would star in the upcoming Will Gluck-directed comedy, Easy A, and now Screen Gems has already picked up a whole bunch more. Can somebody say 'ensemble?'
Easy A Gets Cast
Lisa Kudrow, Alyson Machalka, Thomas Haden Church, Patricia Clarkson, Stanley Tucci, Penn Badgley, Cam Gigandet, Malcolm McDowell and Daniel Bird have signed on for Easy A.
Written by playwright Bert V. Royal, Easy A will have Stone play a high school student who, after being ostracized by a false rumor she's loose, uses the rumor mill to her advantage, pitting puritanical students and teachers against their liberal counterparts.
If the story sounds somewhat familiar, the film is borrowing plotlines from The Scarlet Letter.
